MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia is prepared to build nuclear research reactors in Belarus and Tanzania, the director general of Russia's state nuclear energy corporation Rosatom, Sergei Kirienko, said Tuesday.
"In the process of preparation for the signing are projects in Belarus and Tanzania," Kirienko said at the ATOMEXPO 2016 forum in Moscow.
Kirienko noted that the construction of nuclear reactors with low power within the centers for nuclear science and technology is a part of a comprehensive offer made by Rosatom to countries planning to develop their nuclear power industry.
Earlier, Russia signed a cooperation agreement on construction of a center for nuclear science with Nigeria.
The ATOMEXPO-2016 forum is taking place between May 30 and June 1 in Moscow, and is organized as an exhibition and business platform to bring together representatives from the world's leaders in nuclear power.
