MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Construction of stable isotopes project facilities has begun at the Fordow underground uranium enrichment site near the Iranian city of Qom, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) said Wednesday.
"In the ceremony held on this occasion, Dr. Salehi [AEOI head] said that this project will further facilitate Iran’s progress vis-a-vis stable isotopes production and technology, which is of utmost importance in the framework nuclear industry, and multiple useful applications in industry," the AEOI said in a statement.
According to the statement, Tehran and Moscow are in talks "to further advance the scientific dimensions of this technology."
