US Government Awards $460Mln Cyber Operations Support Contract

The Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) has received a $460 million contract to provide support services for US Cyber Command, the General Services Administration (GSA) said in a press release.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The contract has a five-year base period of performance and a total value of $460 million for all awardees.

US Has No Plans to Discuss Cybersecurity at Military Level With Russia
"GSA Federal Systems Integration and Management Center and US Cyber Command awarded SAIC a prime contract to provide cyber operations support services," the release reads.

SAIC is one of six awardees and work will be performed primarily at Fort Meade, Maryland where the Cyber Command is based, the GSA noted.

The Cyber Command centralizes command of US cyberspace operations, organizes existing cyber resources and synchronizes defense of US military networks.
