VIENNA (Sputnik) – The gas contracts between Iran and Iraq have been put on hold due to the difficulties in Iraqi system, Iranian Petroleum Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh said Thursday.
"We have two gas contracts with Iraq and we are ready to export gas to Baghdad but they have some difficulty. It depends on Iraqi system," Zangeneh said.
Earlier in May, National Iranian Gas Company Director for Planning Mohammad Reza Qodsizadeh said exporting gas to Iraq was the country's top priority.
