Soyuz MS carrier rocket launch with the new crew to the International Space Station may be postponed from June 24 to July 7, a source said Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The launch of a manned Soyuz MS carrier rocket with the new crew to the International Space Station may be postponed from June 24 to the morning of July 7, a source said Thursday.

"If a decision on the ballistics is to be made, the launch will be postponed to July 7 at 4:30. a.m. Moscow time [01:30 GMT], but the decision to postpone [the launch] has not been made officially, it is too early to speak of an exact date," the source told RIA Novosti.

The source added that the delay of the Soyuz launch would result in the postponement of the launch of Russia's Progress-MS space freighter from July 7 to July 17.
