WASHINGTON, June 3 (Sputnik) — The decision by a US Department of State staffer to alter video from a press briefing reflects poor judgement, said on Friday.
"This is a stunning case of poor judgement, whether that was incompetence or lack of experience, or both," Psaki stated in an interview with CNN.
Psaki added that she has no knowledge of the editing and was not involved in the process.
The missing footage was from a press briefing held on December 2, 2013, and concerned the negotiations that led to reaching the Iran nuclear agreement. The video has since been recovered, and the State Department says a full transcript of the briefing was always available on its official website.
On May 10, State Department spokesperson Elizabeth Trudeau said FOX News had raised the issue of the ghost video excerpt, which she said came as a result of a technical glitch.
