MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The storm was upgraded from a tropical depression, meaning it can sustain maximum winds of 40 miles per hour, the Miami-based center said.

It formed in the Gulf of Mexico north of the Yucatan Peninsula and is moving northeast. A tropical storm warning was issued for the coast of Georgia and northeast Florida, from Altamaha Sound to the Flagler/Volusia County Line.
