MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The international media forum is taking place in Russia's capital on June 6-7. It is hosted by the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency and is part of the 75th anniversary of the Soviet Information Bureau. Media experts from over 30 countries of the world take part in the forum.
"The biggest problem in journalism today in my opinion is the increase of violence against journalists around the world. We need to protect journalists, " Frank La Rue said.
The forum has opened with the session called "The journalist in the post-mainstream age," where Russian and foreign experts are expected to analyze media market trends and to discuss the features of the so-called post-mainstream age, trying to reveal regularities of its development.
