YEREVAN (Sputnik) — On May 7-8, the Armenian capital of Yerevan will host the meeting of CSTO member states' security council secretaries.
"Discussion of the measures aimed at development of collective security system of the CSTO member states in the sphere of tackling international terrorism and extremism" the statement published on Monday said.
According to the statement, the secretaries are also expected to discuss a number of other regional security issues.
The CSTO is an intergovernmental military alliance of former Soviet states, which comprises Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan. Its key objective is to fight against "international terrorism and other nontraditional threats to security," according to its website.
