BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — A total of 32 died in two bombings at the Brussels airport and at a metro station on March 22. Ibrahim Bakraoui and Najim Laachraoui detonated their explosives at the airport, while Khalid Bakraoui was confirmed to be the suicide bomber who attacked Maalbeek metro station.
According to the RTBF broadcaster, the apartment in the Brussels commune of Jette was rented by Mohammed Bakkali in September 2015. Bakkali was also the tenant of the apartment in the Schaerbeek commune, where suicide belts for the November Paris were made.
The search reportedly was conducted two weeks after the renters officially moved out, although they had not been seen there since January.
Laachraoui have been seen visiting the apartment, where another unidentified terrorist lived, the broadcaster said. Vehicles used by the attackers in Paris have been reportedly parked near the building.
