France has been mired in a series of protests in reaction to the much-discussed labor bill, which disrupted work at the country's nuclear power plants, refineries, fuel depots, train services and ports. On June 1, the French national SNCF rail operator’s labor unions started an indefinite strike against the labor reforms. Air France pilots have planned a strike for June 11-14, it begins on Saturday, just one day after the start of the 2016 UEFA European Championship in France.
"This [strike] will definitely influence the comfort of travels, firstly, within France. But we do not expect it to negatively affect plans of Russians willing to travel to France in the coming days," the press service told RIA Novosti.
Russians are expected to travel to France precisely on June 11 as Russian national football team will play against English national team at the 2016 UEFA European Championship.
