DUBAI (Sputnik) — The Syrian opposition High Negotiations Committee intends to conduct dialogue with the Moscow-Cairo-formed opposition group via a commission for converging respective positions, HNC spokesperson Riyad Naasan Agha told Sputnik.
"Dialogue between the HNC and the other opposition groups is needed for the convergence of positions and reaching agreement over similar views," Agha said.
Certain members of the Moscow-Cairo group are positive about the development, he added, noting that Syria's opposition has also created a commission for carrying out dialogue with civil society groups inside Syria, as well as journalist organizations, in order to foster a culture of dialogue with civil organizations and ideological centers.
