MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the statement, the TAK had declared a "war" against the Turkish armed forces to take vengeance for the Kurds killed by Ankara.
In recent weeks, several attacks were reportedly carried out by the Kurds in Turkey, including Wednesday's suicide bombing outside a police headquarters, which killed at least five people.
"We warn all tourists who might plan to visit Turkey! You are not our targets but Turkey is no longer safe for you," the TAK's statement read.
The TAK reportedly is a breakaway faction of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), outlawed in Ankara. TAK does not want to seek compromise with Ankara, and opposes to what they deem a fascist rule of the current Turkish government. The TAK militants reportedly claimed responsibility for the February attack in Ankara that killed 28 people and wounded 61.
