WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The release noted that diversity in the US intelligence increased from 21 percent in 2011 to the present 25 percent, but just 12 percent of senior supervisors of the nation’s spies and analysts represent minority communities.
"While we have made progress, the data indicates greater work needs to be done to create a more diverse workforce," ODNI’s Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Chief Rita Sampson said in a press release explaining the report.
ODNI supervises more than two dozen intelligence agencies in the US government, with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) being the best known.
