MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday discussed further development of bilateral ties, the Kremlin's press service said in a statement.
Earlier in the day, Putin and Modi held a phone conversation upon an initiative of New Delhi.
"The leaders confirmed their intention to continue comprehensive deepening of bilateral relations, which have the character of very privileged strategic partnership," the statement said.
According to the statement, the two leaders also discussed preparations to forthcoming contacts on a higher level.
