This is an EU that inexplicably claims it desperately needs migrants to boost its labour market as if ignorant of Italy and Spain’s 40% youth unemployment rate and the fact that 27% of even France’s young citizens are jobless. Such figures make a mockery of Germany’s claim that Europe must share the challenge of Merkel’s open door policy equally and underlies public suspicion that while the EU might work for Berlin, at least in the short term, it is an abject disaster for everyone else.
Others have gone much further and claimed that the EU is a ruse to ensure German supremacy in Europe, a 4th Reich rendered immune from critical scrutiny by a hastily contrived veil of multiculturalism and a newfound aptitude for pandering to Washington: in short, an alliance between German business, the bourgeois German right, and the EU Socialists. Essentially, this is a Nazi geopolitical vision that would have made sense to the criminally insane minds of creatures like Walther Funk and Alfred Rosenberg.
Permanent Revolution: Inspired by Trotsky’s legendary hatred of the nation state and especially the Soviet Union, the EU Socialists of the transatlantic Progressive Alliance and the CIA spawned the fascist led Maydan Putsch of 2014. Eurosocialism is inimical to Russia because it grew out of a counterrevolutionary reaction to Leninism and the Soviet Union: such thinking means permanent EU expansion via colored revolutions where any state still strong enough to determine its own sovereignty remains a prime target for globalist inspired regime change.
Euroskeptics are clear in their condemnation of the overpowering EU’s regulations and directives that dictate the kind of light bulbs we must use, while the ECJ has just sanctimoniously proclaimed that illegal migrants cannot be locked up-effectively placing them above the law: on every level, the chasm between the EU ruling elites and the people is only growing. Pope Francis stated in his 2014 speech to the EP:
"In recent years, as the EU has expanded, there has been growing mistrust on the part of citizens towards institutions considered to be aloof, engaged in laying down rules perceived as insensitive to individual peoples, if not downright harmful. The great ideas which once inspired Europe seem to have lost their attraction, only to be replaced by the bureaucratic technicalities of its institutions."
With the EU plotting to underpin its superstate with its own army, intelligence service, euro arrest warrant, and a centralized tax system, Europeans who have already surrendered their national sovereignty now sense an acute threat to both their cultural identity and personal liberties.
While EU citizens may bemoan exorbitant cost of EU membership, many realize also that the EU offers a poor return on investment. The euro crumbled in the financial crisis of 2009 and the EU itself has shrunk from generating 37% of global GDP when Britain joined the EEC to only 20% in 2016. Most British trade is with the United States and non EU trade partners, yet 100% of UK business must be subject to EU legislation.
In the smoke and mirrors of such economic debate, the real reasons behind EU integration remain hidden. Jean Monnet, 1952: “Europe’s nations should be guided towards the superstate without their people understanding what is happening. This can be accomplished by successive steps, each disguised as having an economic purpose, but which will eventually and irreversibly lead to federation.”
Jean Monnet is most often regarded as the founding father of the EU: the problem with his ‘boil the frogs slowly strategy’ is that EU citizens understand that their countries are threatened by EU integration and are increasingly likely to jump out of the pan.
The Eurcommunists of the 70s fervently took up Monnet’s integrationist ideas (just as their Trotskyite forebears in the 50s had under CIA sponsorship) and for modern European social democracy, the EU is the socialist international the Eurcommunists always dreamed of- but never imagined they would obtain: the EU is a triumph of extremist stealth politics. But can the anti-Soviet Eurocommunist ideology now in its globalist Social Democratic garb possibly overcome euroskeptic arguments that are fundamentally rooted in the well being of working people?
Seeing UK fishing grounds looted by EU trawlers, or the infinitely worse outcome of austerity forced onto an entire belt of nations, are symptoms of much bigger questions that are pushing citizens to boiling point: issues the EU seems predestined to mishandle.
Divide and Conquer: Mass migration provides the EU elites with the catalyst they seek to demonize their opponents- synthesizing a need for political correctness. The EU is a hot-house of radicalized pro and anti-migration lobbies, a cynical strategy of tension that allows EU bureaucrats to mobilize leftist street support and maintain violent rhetoric on high heat as they achieve optimum mobilization to ram forward their program of open borders. These tactics are analogous to Mubarak’s last ditch attempt to justify his regime by releasing criminals into the community: with 5,000 Jihadists at large and Neo Nazis on the march, the EU elites are similarly complicit.
Who should really govern us? Should power really be in the hands of unelected bureaucrats? The EU is no classic parliamentary system and there are few controls upon the European Commission. Since the Lisbon Treaty in 2009, the UK has lost its veto powers leaving citizens with no hand break. In fact, British MEPs are outvoted in the EP 80% of the time making a mockery of the claim that Britain- or anyone else- has a voice in Europe.
We are a state that allows 60% of its laws to be made by foreigners- a figure that stokes both fear and resentment. That’s what we get for paying £83bn per year in combined EU membership costs. While there is a significant rebate, the EU dictates how our own money should be spent. Only the naïve would imagine it’s only Britain in revolt: From Athens to Warsaw, people are rightly asking if radical leftist EU overlordship and domination by German banks was what they signed up for when joining the Union.
Whose justice?
The EU has a twisted idea of justice. Britain has lost over 75% of cases ever brought before the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg. The winners have included not just criminals, but outright terrorists who have run amok, spinning cases out for years as they live on benefits- their human rights lauded, their victims ignored. Paralyzed by political correctness and the power of the European Court, citizens stare is sullen frustration. Once a country has signed the UN Declaration of Human Rights, should it allow itself to be dictated to by foreigners given the sorry record of liberal interventionism- especially when those foreigners adhere to a radical philosophy that ties them to religious extremists and anarchists?
The EU Socialists are thoroughly committed to maximizing every last atom of potential of EU integration and are entirely true to their mission to crucify the nation state. But what people don’t realize is that the Party of European Socialists (PES) are a titanic force in the European Parliament, often the largest single bloc, and in prime position to push through their agenda of radical progressive values.
The EU Socialists’ vision of democracy is not one that has any place for ordinary citizens and is restricted to those elites who have burrowed into EU institutions and turned them into a Trojan horse for the kind of politics EU citizens despise and which threatens them more than anything else.
Progressive Tyranny: the Party of European Socialists and its social democratic allies are fused with the US Democrats via a major transatlantic leftist cartel- the Progressive Alliance. With hundreds of MEPs in the European Parliament, the EU Socialists slavishly enable Obama’s liberal interventionist bullying and NATO militarism to the extent that they even assist the US with blocking Russia from EU energy markets. State broadcasters like Euronews, France24, and the BBC enforce the EU’s progressive agenda leaving democratic parties like UKIP facing aggressive interviewers and cherry-picked mobs for audiences.
The betrayal of Europeans by the EU elites is now so profound, the only outcome is either an orderly dismantling of the Union, or a political campaign in the name of popular democracy as citizens set out to take back their countries. Quite simply, the only other alternative is slavery.
