Russia and Italy are expected to sign a number of joint documents on energy cooperation following bilateral talks at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said Tuesday.

Putin, Juncker to Discuss Issue of Uncontrolled Migration to EU at SPIEF
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to Ushakov, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi are due to discuss bilateral cooperation and international issues on June 17.

"And afterward, the Russian-Italian talks in a format of a working lunch with the participation of representatives of business community from both countries with a prevalence of Italian representatives are due to take place. Several documents are due to be signed, in particular by [Russia's energy company] Rosneft, including with the Eni company, [Russia’s leading independent natural gas producer] Novatek and the Saipem company with respect to cooperation in the development of LNG [liquefied natural gas] projects in Russia," Ushakov told journalists.

Approximately seven-eight documents are due to be signed, while some of them are being coordinated, the president's aide specified.

The SPIEF-2016 will be held on June 16-18. The forum is organized annually and attended by business representatives and officials from dozens of countries.
