Nuland’s Visit to Moscow: Has the US Arch Neocon Lost Her Bearings?
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Former US Ambassador to the Soviet Union Jack Matlock raised the question of a leaked phone call involving Nuland, "talking about who should be the Prime Minister of Ukraine in a revolutionary situation."

"Well, that was a mistake," McFaul said referring to Nuland’s phone conversation. McFaul argued that US officials made dozens of attempts to diffuse the protests and tried to "cut a deal" between former Ukrainian Prime Minister Victor Yanukovych and the government opposition.

"We did not give one penny to the democratic opposition [in Ukraine] when I was in the US government," McFaul claimed.

Yatsenyuk served in the position through April 2016 before resigning due to a government crisis.
