WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, the cybersecurity company hired to address the DNC breach said two Russian hacker groups, Cozy Bear and Fancy Bear, separately gained access to the Committee’s network in 2015 and 2016.
"I do not make a habit of discussing ongoing criminal or national security investigations," Earnest stated when asked about the reports. “This administration obviously takes our cybersecurity, our nation’s cybersecurity quite seriously."
Security experts warned the DNC’s leaders of unusual activity in April, and expelled the intruders from the network over last weekend, according to media reports.
