MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Brussels will get ready for any outcome of the referendum in the United Kingdom over the country's membership in the European Union, German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said Friday.
"We hope that British citizens will make a clever, responsible decision…. We will try to get prepared to any outcome of the referendum to the greatest extent," Schaeuble said, as quoted by Finanztreff media outlet, ahead of consultations of the EU finance ministers in Luxembourg over the upcoming Brexit referendum.
Voters across the United Kingdom will take part in a referendum on June 23 to decide whether or not the country should exit the European Union.
