MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A total of ten militants were killed in a special police operation in Russia's Dagestan over the past 24 hours, the Russian National Anti-Terrorism Committee said Friday.
"As a result of series of operational and combat activities carried out by special units of the Federal Security Service and the Interior Ministry, nine active members of the so-called Suleiman-Stalskiy bandit group, as well as Hasan Abdullayev [Abu Yasir], the leader of the bandit underground of the southern Dagestan, were killed," the Committee said in a statement.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that three officers from special police units and an FSB officer were killed in clashes with militants in Dagestan.
