MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Syrian President Bashar Assad and Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu discussed on Saturday cooperation in the fight against terrorism and plans for future in this sphere, Syrian Ambassador to Russia Riyad Haddad said.
"The situation is very difficult and demands constant meetings… During the meeting [Assad and Shoigu] discussed the fight against terrorism, gave assessments to the previous period of time and plans for future," Haddad told RIA Novosti commenting on the Assad-Shoigu meeting held in Damascus.
