"Currently, we are focusing in particular on the work with Russian producers, and some 100 shops are at the various stages of integration with us, that is why by the end of summer we will have more than 100, which will work on the territory of Russia and the [Eurasian] Customs Union," Zavadsky said.
The general director added that about 30 shops from Russia were cooperating with AliExpress already.
"The project with Russian retailers is at the stage of development, we introduce 10-15 retailers every week, they begin the integration process," he said.
Zavadsky stressed that Alibaba Russia was helping Russian shops to start the work at the platform.
AliExpress is a part of Alibaba, China's biggest e-commerce group that includes multiple online shopping websites. According to the company’s statistics, last year ended in March Alibaba’s revenue amounted to more than $15.3 billion.
