At 40 weeks pregnant, the woman helped her husband and relatives with fishing-related activity at a remote lake in the taiga. She felt labor pains on Saturday and her husband and sister tried to rush her to a hospital in a SUV, which eventually fell into a swamp and stalled.
The woman stayed with her sister in the woods while her husband scrambled to contact a first-aid station. He was lucky enough, but it took medics and rescuers hours to reach the girl because of the swampy area.

The doctors did their job perfectly, despite an act of delivery was complicated by bleeding. An armed police officer was stationed nearby, on heightened alert so that bears hanging about could not trespass the territory.
