MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Shprygin was detained on Monday during the Russia-Wales football match in France's Toulouse for the second time over alleged violation of entry ban. The French Foreign Ministry earlier said he would be deported from the country.
"Head of the All-Russia Fans’ Union Alexander Shprygin, who was detained for the second time on Monday in France, was released without any charges. he will fly from Toulouse to Paris shortly, and depart to Moscow in the evening," the press service said.
The Russian fans were said to have participated in clashes with English fans at the stadium in the port town of Marseille on June 11. They were then transferred to Marseille. Later French police released 20 people and placed other 20 in deportation center. Subsequently, a decision was made to deport them from the country.
