10:05 GMT 25.06.2016 (Updated: 11:56 GMT 09.02.2023) The meeting of German, French, Italian, Belgian, Dutch and Luxembourgian foreign ministers on the results of the UK referendum on EU membership will continue for at least half an hour, according to a German Foreign Ministry's spokesperson.
BERLIN (Sputnik) — The Berlin meeting between German, French, Italian, Belgian, Dutch and Luxembourgian foreign ministers to discuss the results of the UK referendum on EU membership was prolonged, a German Foreign Ministry's spokesperson said Saturday.
"The meeting is not over yet, it will continue for at least half an hour," the spokesperson told reporters.
The meeting was scheduled to end at 12:00 local time (10:00 GMT) with the foreign ministers joint press conference.
On Thursday, a nationwide referendum was held in Britain in which 51.9 percent of the voters said they were in favor of the United Kingdom leaving the bloc.
