MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The majority of Brits voted in Thursday’s referendum to quit the European Union, despite London, Scotland, and Northern Ireland voting predominantly against.
"If the Scottish parliament was judging this on the basis of what’s right for Scotland then the option of saying, ‘We are not going to vote for something that is against Scotland’s interests' – of course, that’s going to be on the table," Sturgeon said.
The Scottish minister said previously that her government was going to enter in negotiations with EU nations in order to "protect Scotland’s place" in the European Union.
