PRAGUE (Sputnik) — The Czech government has set up a working group to prepare Prague's stance and priorities ahead of the negotiations on the British withdrawal from the European Union, Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka said on Monday.
On Thursday, a nationwide referendum was held in Britain in which 51.9 percent of the voters said they were in favor of the United Kingdom leaving the bloc.
"The government approved the creation of a working group on Brexit. It will prepare position and priorities of the Czech Republic for negotiations with the United Kingdom on its withdrawal from the European Union," Sobotka wrote on his Twitter.
The group, headed by State Secretary for European Affairs Tomas Prouza, will include representatives of various ministries and departments.
