UK Labour Party Leader Corbyn Receives Vote of No Confidence
15:45 GMT 28.06.2016 (Updated: 16:28 GMT 28.06.2016) The United Kingdom’s opposition Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn lost a vote of no confidence Tuesday, following mass resignation of his shadow cabinet in protest of the United Kingdom’s vote to leave the European Union.
LONDON (Sputnik) – The motion of no confidence was passed 172 to 40.
Over 40 Labour shadow cabinet members submitted their resignations in the lead-up to the vote, expressing doubt that Corbyn would deliver victory over the ruling Conservative Party that has fractured after the so-called Brexit referendum last week.
