WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which oversees operations of the two airports in the US capital, will update security procedures after explosions in the Turkish city of Istanbul, the Authority’s spokesperson Christopher Paolino told Sputnik on Tuesday.
"We have a robust security structure both visible and behinds the scenes. We are in constant contact with our federal, state and local law enforcement partners, and we will update our security procedures and status in light of ongoing events," Paolino stated when asked whether airports security will be boosted after Istanbul attacks.
