YEREVAN (Sputnik) — He added that the nature of the loan explained the delay in the start of the deliveries.

"More than 80 percent of the agreements have been already signed. Preparatory work for the deliveries have already been conducted. Some of them have already started," Ohanyan said as quoted by Public TV Company of Armenia.

In 2015, Moscow and Yerevan reached an agreement on a credit line to finance the purchase of military products. On April 15, the Armenian government approved the implementation of the agreement.

Russia and Armenia are two members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), a six-country military alliance, which also includes Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
