MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier this month, the Russian Security Council published the draft national information security doctrine. The document stated that attempts by foreign states to increase information warfare capabilities against Russia are a threat to national security.
"We have dealt with these issues a lot in recent years, though in the conditions of the current information attack, often carried out by some of our so-called partners against our country, a task emerges to strengthen efforts in this direction," Putin told Russian diplomats.
Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov met Russian ambassadors and permanent representatives to discuss the protection of Russia’s national interests and the strengthening of the foundations and principles of Russia’s international relations.
