MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Baghdad International Airport in the Iraqi capital was attacked by mortar fire within days after a truck bomb killed some 200 in the city's central district, Arab television reported Monday, citing security sources.
The mortar shells appeared to fall across an area adjacent to the airport, according to the Al Jazeera satellite network.
Two people were reportedly injured in the attack in which the US military installation called Camp Liberty was said to be the target.
