MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Meshkov said Moscow was in talks with the Alliance on the issue of the next Russia-NATO Council's agenda and its terms, adding that it could be convened soon after the forthcoming NATO Summit.
"The central issue of the meeting will be the decisions of the alliance's Warsaw meeting aimed at strengthening the bloc's 'eastern flank' and its consequences for all the aspects of European security. In the context of the ongoing construction of the US/NATO missile defense system, the issues related to missile defense will certainly be on the agenda," Meshkov said.
NATO's Warsaw Summit is scheduled to be held in the Polish capital on July 8-9.
