KIEV (Sputnik) — Kiev plans to discuss the imposition of restrictions on the transit routes for Ukrainian supplies through Russian territory in the World Trade Organization (WTO) and with partners, the Ukrainian government said in a statement on Monday.
"The Ukrainian government raises the issue of violating the norms of international law by Russia in the World Trade Organization and in other international organizations, as well as with our international partners," the statement reads.
Russia suspended its free trade deal with Ukraine on January 1, 2016, the same day the EU-Ukraine comprehensive free trade zone, part of the Association Agreement ratified in 2015, came into force.
The measures include an embargo on the import of certain Ukrainian food products and customs duties imposed on other Ukrainian goods.
