MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Persons from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, as well as the Russian republic of Dagestan, were involved in the recent attack on Istanbul's Ataturk airport, and a total of 30 people have been detained following the terrorist act, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Tuesday.
"The number of detained in relation with the terrorist attack has reached 30. Through these persons, we can come to important and specific conclusions…as you see, we are dealing with natives of Dagestan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan," Erdogan told reporters.
He added that the attack was organized by the Daesh terrorirst group (banned in Russia).
