The FBI recommends to bring no charges against Hillary Clinton in the private email server probe, the Bureau head James Comey told reporters during a press conference.

Comey said that he has not coordinated with other government agencies on the probe. The investigation has been 'painstaking undertaking', he added.

Dig In! WikiLeaks Publishes Hillary Clinton's Iraq War Emails
One hundred and ten of the 30,000 emails Hillary Clinton and her lawyers handed over to the US State Department in 2014 contained classified information, FBI Director James Comey said during a press conference in Washington, DC on Tuesday.

"From the group of 30,000 emails returned to the state department in 2014, 110 emails in 52 email chains have been determined by the owning agency to contain classified information at time they were sent or received," he stated.

Investigators found several thousand work-related emails that then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her lawyers had not turned over to the US State Department in 2014, according to the FBI Director.

"The FBI also discovered several thousand work-related emails that were not among the group of 30,000 emails returned by Secretary Clinton to State [Department] in 2014," he added.

There are evidence that State Secretary Clinton and her staff worked 'extremely careless', Comey told reporters. Clinton and her office 'should have known' that the server was in an improper place for those emails.

The FBI, however, had concluded that 'no charges are appropriate,' James Comey told reporters.

"Although we did not find clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information, there is evidence that they were extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information," Comey stated.

Trump: US Government Not Interested in Recovering Clinton’s Missing Emails
He noted that the FBI found no evidence of intentional misconduct by Clinton’s lawyers during the process of sorting out of her emails.

"We found that information that was sent and received via emails was classified by the US government," he added.

The FBI however did not find direct evidence that Clinton's personal email domain was hacked successfully.

"We did not find direct evidence that Secretary Clinton’s personal email domain in its various configurations since 2009 was hacked successfully," Comey stated.

However, Comey added, "It is possible that hostile actors gained access to Secretary Clinton’s personal email account."

"To be clear I should say that there is no confidence that this leak would not have consequences for the country's security," Comey emphasized.
