MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia is monitoring the situation in the partially recognized state of Abkhazia and would like to see it stabilize, though this can only happen through dialogue, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.
"Of course, the situation on Abkhazia still has our attention. Kremlin always closely monitors what happens there. We would like to see Abkhazia as a stable, developing state," Peskov told reporters.
"We hope that all issues will be solved solely through political debates and in line with the constitution," he added.
