MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Officers are said to have been called by West Midlands Ambulance Service to the Hawkeswood Metal recycling company in light of reports about a collapsed wall.
"Police can confirm that five men have died after an industrial accident at a recycling site in Nechells this morning," the police said in a statement.
"Sadly five people have lost their lives and we have several teams of specialist officers supporting their families at this time," Detective Superintendent Mark Payne was quoted as saying in the statement.
Another man, with serious leg injuries, has been taken to hospital.
