MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Tkachev added that, recently, Russia had boosted the volume of grain production.
"Russia has started producing high-quality spaghetti made from durum wheat. I am sure we will fill this niche in foreign shops soon," he said.
In 2015, the country sent 24.5 million metric tons of wheat abroad and became world’s leading exporter, Tkachev stressed.
Earlier, Tkachev said expressed hope that the country would be able to substitute at least 90 percent of food imports with domestic products in the next two or three years.
