WARSAW (Sputnik) — The French president noted that NATO "would like to continue dialogue with Russia especially in the Normandy format."
"NATO is not seeking any enemy, NATO doesn't want to threaten anyone and I repeat again what I have said upon the arrival the Summit, we have to discuss matters reached with Russia on the occasion of the NATO-Russia meeting," Hollande told reporters at the NATO Summit in the Polish capital.
The next NATO-Russia Council meeting at ambassadorial level is scheduled for July 13.
On Friday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said at the NATO summit in Warsaw that the alliance would strengthen its military presence in Eastern Europe on a rotational basis with four battalions in Poland and in the Baltic nations.
