"The UK is vulnerable to the global changes described above," the report, warning about risks emerging from the climate change, read.
Among the key climate change risks for the United Kingdom, the government advisers highlighted flooding and coastal change risks to communities and infrastructure, risks to health from high temperature, risk of shortages in the public water supply and risks of new and emerging pests and diseases.
"Priorities for further action and research include: Increase current efforts to reduce existing pressures, take more flexible and integrated approaches to managing natural capital, including further realignment of the coast, landscape-scale initiatives to increase habitat extent and improve habitat condition and connectivity, assess the nature and scale of changing land suitability and its impacts, better understand the magnitude and scale of risks to marine ecosystems from climate change," the report read.
The 2,000-page report is a comprehensive assessment of the risks of climate change to the United Kingdom, conducted for three years by 80 experts.
