ULAANBAATAR (Sputnik) — The 11th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM11) Summit started off in Mongolia’s capital on Thursday and will last for two days.
"Awareness is raising on both sides of how important Europe is for Asia, and Asia — for Europe," Thill said.
"For us it is very important be present at this summit, because it gives access to many leaders at the same time. He had different bilateral meetings," he added.
The Asia-Europe Meeting is an informal inter-regional dialogue that addresses political, security, financial, economic, social and cultural issues.
The ASEM forum was established in 1996 with the aim of deepening relations between Asia and Europe at all levels. The forum's partners currently include 53 states from all over the world.
