WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Since 2013, Lynch has been part of a legislative effort to declassify the 28 page chapter of the 2002 joint congressional inquiry into 9/11 attacks. The pages are believed to contain information relevant to Saudi Arabia and the financial support for the 9/11 hijackers.
“I have been told by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence that the document is being forwarded to Congress with ‘light redactions.’ I am hopeful these redactions do not diminish the probative value of the report,” Lynch stated.
“Releasing the 28 pages will answer some of the many questions that remain [over the 9/11 attacks],” Lynch said.
The pages are being released to Congress and will be “made public,” according to Lynch’s press release. It is not yet clear when Congress will publish the pages.
