Fire Erupts, Munitions Explode at North Ukraine Military Training Ground
12:54 GMT 15.07.2016 (Updated: 13:02 GMT 15.07.2016) A fire erupted at a military training ground in northern Ukraine’s Chernihiv region, with exploding munitions hampering firefighting operations, regional authorities said as quoted by national media Friday.
KIEV (Sputnik) – Kulich noted that fire extinguishing operations are complicated by the regular explosion of munitions at the site.
"The fire broke out at the Honcharivske training field over an area of about 10 hectares. The fire is moving in the direction of Slavutych," the Ukrainian news service quoted Valery Kulich, chairman of the region's state administration, as saying at an emergency session.
