MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Nice mayor and President of the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Christian Estrosi said said that 77 people were killed and 42 others were gravely injured on Thursday night, when a truck rammed into a crowd watching Bastille Day fireworks.
"I think that we need in the future to have the internal security forces having the same kind of ammunitions and weapons as the army, we need to have military 5.56 mm assault rifles and pistols delivered to our land and internal security forces, we also need to have more efficiency. We need to have troops able to have enough ammunition to be trained in more realistic situations on moving targets," Nicolas Dhuicq said.
