Indian air safety regulator DGCA under the Ministry of Civil Aviation has ordered a probe against three IndiGo airline pilots for taking selfies in a cockpit when the flight was airborne.
According to senior DGCA official, apart from giving warnings to the pilots, an inquiry has been ordered into the various incidents of IndiGo pilots taking selfies in mid-air, risking the lives of passengers onboard.
"This is a serious violation. We are collecting more evidences and suitable action will be taken soon. We have also told the airline management to discourage such activities," DGCA official told in a Right To Information (RTI) reply.
In March, pilots of the IndiGo airlines clicked a selfie with family and friends inside the cockpit of the aircraft, violating the airline's rules.
