ATHENS (Sputnik) — Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias pledged support to the Turkish democracy and condemned the attempted military coup in Turkey in a phone talk with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, the Greek ministry's press service said on Saturday.

"Kotzias said that Greece condemns any attempts of coups and supports struggle of the Turkish people for democracy and for protection of the constitutional order in Turkey," the ministry said in a statement.
