BERLIN (Sputnik) — Earlier, the refugee armed with an axe attacked passengers of the train, injuring three of them.
The attacker, a 17-year-old teenager from Afghanistan, was shot dead by police.
"The search of the room he used to live in during the last time revealed a hand-drawn flag of the Islamic State," Herrmann said, as quoted by the German ARD broadcaster.

He also confirmed the reports that the attacker shouted "Allahu Akbar" during the attack.
