KIEV (Sputnik) – Ukraine is pursuing professional activity, personal enmity and a "Russian trace" as three main leads in the investigation into Belarusia-born journalist Pavel Sheremet’s death, Ukrainian interior ministerial adviser said Wednesday.
"I named three main versions that are not ruled out: professional activity [and] hostile relations … Of course we should be well aware that when a hybrid war is waged against us, considering how professionally this bloody murder was committed, we cannot exclude a Russian trace," Zorian Shkiryak told reporters.
Shiryak claimed earlier that a remotely- or delay-triggered improvised explosive device up to 600 grams in TNT equivalency killed Sheremet. Police launched a pre-meditated murder investigation into the journalist’s death in a car bomb attack in central Kiev early Wednesday.
